After School Program

Youth Programs

A free place for newcomer and immigrant students to learn, make friends and try new things during the school year.

AIWCC’s After-School Program gives students a safe, welcoming space to get support with school and take part in activities with other youth.

Parents can also get support through workshops, intercultural gatherings and help navigating their children’s schools.

Program includes:

School support: Tutoring, homework help and guidance with group assignments.
Mentoring: One-on-one support to build confidence and set goals.
Life skills: Workshops on leadership, communication, conflict resolution, nutrition and technology use.
Creative and recreational activities: Arts, crafts, games and other opportunities to have fun and make friends.
Job preparation for older students: Help with resumés and learning how to look for work.

Eligibility:

and school engagement.

Over 900 hours of tutoring delivered across
15 schools.
