About the Program

Youth Nights give newcomer, immigrant and other youth in Edmonton a welcoming place to have fun, stay active and connect with people their age. Through group activities and shared experiences, youth can build friendships, strengthen their social skills and feel more connected to their community.

Activites May Include:

  • Movie and game nights
  • Indoor sports and physical activities
  • Group games and team challenges
  • Arts, crafts and creative activities
  • Evening outings and local adventures
  • Cultural and community activities
  • Group conversations and social-emotional learning

Activities may change throughout the year.

What Participants Gain

Youth have opportunities to make friends, practise teamwork and communication, and become more confident in group settings. Activities also encourage healthy movement, respect for others and a stronger sense of belonging.

Eligibility

  • Newcomer and immigrant youth, as well as other youth in Edmonton
  • Currently listed for youth ages 10–15
